Truly can’t comprehend how Mr Chopsticks doesn’t have a higher score. I’ve been eating here for 10+ years and I’ve never had a bad meal. Food is always hot and good, flavors are great, great service, relaxed environment and you can sit indoors or outdoors. I take out a lot (maybe too much lol) and the food is always hot by the time I get home or my door dasher arrives lol. I came here to post a review as I’m sick and waiting on spicy curry to arrive.

Family lunch today. Had heard from locals that it was very good cooking and they were correct. Be pleasantly prepared for cook-to-order dishes because each dish was right off the heat. We were offered free items when we were seated to enjoy for the small kitchen time. Hot and sour soup pleasantly spice, nice fresh scallions. Thai noodle soup was the freshest home brew broth I’ve ever eaten. Noodles were light, thin, with a good bite. Fresh and crisp bean sprouts and beautiful bok choy. The chicken was more than I could eat. But that broth…perfect. Was so glad to see Egg Foo Yung on the menu. Don’t find it on menus enough. It was a serving for 2 easily. The sauce/gravy made the dish come alive and put it on the “order again” list. Had a nice dinner leftover amount. Lo Mein was full of fresh veggies like bok choy, mushrooms, and the perfect use of sesame oil which can sometimes overpower the taste. Great thin crispy noodles for snacking or adding to the soups. The space itself could use a bit of updating but between the quality of the food and the captivating Mr. Chopsticks himself, a 5 star rating is very accurate. Ordered the General Tso chicken. This was a drive thru order. I really didn't like the food. Nothing was wrong with it, the taste was just different from what I am use to. It wasn't sweet at all. Don't let that deter you from trying it. If you've never been, order ahead of time. The drive thru is for pickup only. They let me order at the window because clearly I looked lost and they helped me out. I would go back to try other plates for sure.

The Service was great for this visit. I like how the restaurant pulls from the "pool" of UNT students, most of the time you get a friendly, attentive and helpful server. Don't think that you'll get a regular tho, they are always seeming to rotate their staff. :) Food is great. We've been going there for several years and have never gotten anything we didn't like or wouldn't order again. I really like the varied menu options, all across the Asian cuisine. Tonight we had Cashew shrimp and shrimp Egg Foo Young, both were huge (we took over half home), hot and very tasty. Definitely fresh from the kitchen. The sushi is good, great to round out a dinner. Pretty reasonable price with the shrimp entrees being $15 and the sushi roll being $9. Most assuredly my go-to place for a weeknight dinner.
